Which one is better?

just say there all stocks.

and firebirds and camaros are different.

GM sucks. Go Mustang, you'll thank me. Oh, and watch the chase scene from Bullitt, if that doesn't sell you on a Mustang nothing will.

They are all great cars....that is if you like American muscle.
The new Camaros are nice, but the waiting list is huge. Mustangs have a lot of after market products to help you get those extra horses. So I would say Mustangs :)

Firebird vs Mustang vs Camaro

Challenger FTW. The SRT-8 is the best modern day muscle car out there. The Camaro just doesnt have the style that the SRT-8 has and the Mustang is more like a muscle car styled coupe, though it does have the most power, the SRT-8 just has the nice muscle look.

The Mustang has the least amount of power out of the three. The Camaro is a long body style not a flat head style so no duh... And the SRT-8 is one of the biggest piles out there. I used to sell these pos's and every single SRT-8 challenger or charger that we had went into the shop before it was ever sold, and we aren't talking little inconveniences, we're talking engine replacement, transmission swap, re-ran wiring harnesses, new ECM's. you know the things that make the cars go. Oh the Mustangs have faulty fuel lines, bad seat mounting brackets, poorly designed induction, faulty MAF sensors, and rod bearings that tend to go out after 15K. The "Modern" Camaro, stole the tailights from a corvettte, the front end from a CTS-V, the GE's from a G8, The engine from a Vette then the D-tuned the dang thing, then they matched it up against an extremely weak transmission. oh and if you ever get the chance to go under one, look at the little tiny dif casing that looks like it'll blow if you gun it too hard.

In short they all suck it's just a matter of which kinda suck you want the most.

Oh and Mustangs are extremely nose heavy.

I agree with most of what you are saying but I have to disagree with you on the "weak transmssion" statement you have about the camaro.... for instance the 6L80 is one of the toughest production automatics ever made. There are guys pushing over 600rwhp and about 600rwtq thru them with no issues. I only know of one trans that went bad so far and it was due to a issue with the clutch plates that was a supplier issue. Initially the tune sucks on them but that is easy to modify. I know over 10 guys with mid 500's rwhp and torque with no issues at all. I think you were a bit hard on the trans thing..... it actually is suprising alot of people out there on how STRONG it is. But everyone has their own opinion.... I just have to counteract your statements because the 6L80 is a bad ass strong trans!!

you know what, G8lover, you very well could be right on the transmission thing, I've heard differently, but, the weak transmission statement was based on opinions from Camaro owners. However, the people that I was talking to were pretty much douches anyways so they could've just been complaining for the sake of complaining.

I don't care too much anyways all three cars suck so, eh...

The Mustang was SLOWER since he spent much time double clutching.
The Charger was much quicker, better handling and had posi, where the Mustang was a peg leg, had much oversteer and didn't perform very well yet sounded good. Peg leg verified by the ONE WHEEL burnout.

GM doesn't suk to those of us that only own GM vehicles.
WE have 2:
'64 El Camino
2000 Saturn LS.
From Pontiac; '93 Sunbird.

A car is a car and regardless of power, it is the experience level of the drivers that make the difference.
Stock cars with experienced drivers will equal good results.

Pony's can run but Bird's can fly. As far as that transmission issue goes, there was one Camaro that was taken to the GM dealership here that had the shaft inside the transmission break clean. Just snapped in half, the GM engineers wanted to see it for themselves so they came and looked at it to determine the cause.(Which is easy enough considering the metal we get from China is poor quality and is garbage). As far as mustangs go, ford kept with the triton engines, which are notorious for spark plugs blowing out of the cylinder head. The only reason why they are out on the road still is because Pontiac is gone, and there weren't many options for good American made sports cars, which there still isnt, but thats my opinion.

Bullitt definitely will not sell anyone that knows car, on a mustang. anything is possible on tv. they're all good cars, just each individuals preference. all has their own problems.

gee whiz after all these years i always thought the 727 torque flight was the best tranny. and a ford 9 inch the better rear. but ill compromise for a 904 chrysler
