Maybe ECU issue?

Okay first of Hello, so one day I went out to my car, which is a G5 GT with the 2.4L auto trans, and the car would not start. When I insert the key it dings and everything, but as soon as I turn it to start everything dies. I checked the battery, its good. ran out all of my wires and stuff ignition switch is good, the starter was just replaced, and I'm getting the start signal to the ECU but not getting a signal out of it. If I jump the starter it turns, if I just the crank relay it turns, but won't with the key. I ordered a new ECU and put it in and it still does the same thing. I'm running out of ideas. Thank you.

how sure are you that you dont have a bad ignition switch?
how did you program the new ECU for your car?

I was going under the assumption that if it is getting a signal out of the ignition switch then that would tell me that it is okay. and I took the car to the dealership and had it programmed. is there a way I can do it from home?

tow truck there and back. I had to have it towed there because the ecu didnt have any programming on it when I bought it.

the most obvious question is if you spent the money to have it towed back and forth to the dealer why didnt you let them fix it or at least determine what the issue is? They have Tech II's and other computer based diagnostic programs which would have told them what the problem really is rather than quessing.
