Air suspension question

2001 Bonneville. Can someone please tell me where the air suspension pump is located?

How can I tell if it's working?

I thought I needed rear shocks, but before I replace them I want to make sure they are filling with air.

Thanks

It should be under the rear of the car. It should run for a few seconds when the car is started. Also, if there is an Air Button by the trunk latch, you can press the Button and the Compressor should start.

Thank you .

I don't have the tire inflator option. Does car need to be started to hear pump or is key on enough?

Also, do those pumps go bad often?

Thanks again.

Was still wondering if I will be able to hear air pump with key on, or does is need to be running?

Also, they sell a conversion kit for 110.00 that eliminates the need for rear air shocks.

Anyone ever use them?
