Trying to program key fob 2001 Grand Am SE Sedan 4-Door

I'm trying to program two key fobs for my 2001 Grand Am SE Sedan 4-Door. I've tried and tested several methods on the internet (for 2000 Grand Am) with no success. Does anyone here have a 2001 Grand Am SE that they were able to successfully pair with a key fob? How did you do it?

Where did you find instructions that didn't include having to have a dealer or automotive locksmith involved?
Did the vehicle come from the factory with key fobs, if not I dont think the vehicle has a receiver.

No idea if it came with key fobs but I bought two on eBay. I called around to dealerships and locksmiths. The dealerships said they'd probably charge $30 but they also charge $100/hr. One locksmith said he'd charge $50 to do both key fobs for my 2001 Grand Am SE.
