Oil pump and distributor help

I have a 79 or 80 Bonneville wagon with a 350. Distributor needs replaced but the oil pump shaft seems to have a hex tip instead of a slotted tip. Any advice to help me avoid a complete motor tear down and oil pump replacement? All the distributors Iíve found have the normal slotted end but it wonít fit into the oil pump on this bonneville.

Thanks in advance

You make no mention of the gear on the distributor or the distributor main shaft, how do they compare to the replacement distributor?
how come you dont know the year, should be easy to determine from the VIN?
are you sure it is a 350 and which 350 Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Chevy...????
can you post a picture of the end of the distributor?

I would also need some pictures of the Dist Drive end, as well as what type of 350 v8 you have. Otherwise its just a guess.
