quarter window felt outer trim

Hey all. Restoration virgin here. I have a 71 LeMans and doing what work I can myself. Some I will farm out but I want to experience and build that bond with her. I am here looking for help. Thanks in advance.

I am attempting to install the quarter window window felt outer trim. The one I purchased does not have the exact curve needed. I assume that some mods are required with restoration so I'm not surprised. Can I simply bend with extreme care. Please advise any tricks of the trade for this process. I already learned that not all the mounting holes match up and had to drill new ones. Not a big deal. Thanks again. Joe

Did you check with the supplier of the part, they should know what can be done to make their product fit the application without damaging it.
