'02 bonneville steering clunk

hi all,
approx 140k miles on her and noticing a lowspees clunk in the steering, heard this is common on a lot of GM's, im going to repair it myself, easy fix?? was told its an intermediate shaft that maybe could be greased and or replaced, it doesnt seem too bad, just annoying right now, will get worse correct? am i on the right path for that issue?

It could be the intermediate shaft, there are a number of YouTube videos on greasing them. You are sure it's not tie rod ends or steering rack?

thx, ya seems like a check of front end is in order, i just had new tires put on but they didnt say if anything was worn.
