Hello, experienced occasional mechanic that made a foolish error. i am replacing head gaskets on bills classic 1977 6.6 transam and failed to take a photo or mark where the 5 head bolts with threaded tips go. Of the 10 bolts outside the valve covers, 5 of them have threaded studs on the top. would someone with a 1977 6.6 be kind enough to look under the hood and tell me which of the 5 bolts on left (drivers side) and right passenger side have threaded tops / tips? perhaps count 1-5 from front to back of engine? ... THANK YOU VERY MUCH . in advance .... peace all

looking at drivers side, position one is used for the battery ground cable so you need a stud. Looking at position 2 and 4 the engine may have had a air preheater with a hose going up to the air cleanr. The preheater required the studs.
Passenger side not too clear. Looking at a 1971 455 there was stud in position 3 and cannt see position 1 because the A/C bracket and compressor are in the way.
If you cannt find a better answer go with above.
