Anyone know a work around to replace the fuel pump module? Its $800 to replace. The plastic on the top housing lid is all but gone, the metal housing and gasket need replaced as well. All I can find is $600 and up. The part guy literally choked when he seen it listed for $1000.

Can you provide a link to what you need, looking at Rockauto and NAPA nothing comes up in that price range.

Find one at a salvage yard for a vibe or Matrix and buy a new pump only.

Buy a used housing & a new pump/screen.
They are very easy to,disassemble and put back together.
Take many pics if needed but its not anywhere near $800.
Maybe $200 when all is said & done but thats still a high price.
We have currently been unable to find an affordable under $500 used housing. We've been made ours work temporarily until we find one at a junk yard that is in better condition then ours. It works as it should but eventually the housing will give way so we were trying to get a head of it.
