2007 2.4 engine removal

I've always be able to pull from the top. I pulled the 3.5 out of a 08 G6, but I did remove the hood first. Watch out since the windshield sprayers are fragile.

edit: I usually leave the transmission in when I pull engines. I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to pull the 4 cyl from the top. Is there some problem you foresee?

You'd have to see how much room you have to pull the engine away from the transmission.

3-4 inches on the belt side should be enough. How much space do you have? Sorry it's been a while since I've looked at a G6. If you don't have enough space, take off the pulleys. Got a few pictures of the bay?

Well I did get it out. Wasn't too bad after I finally found that hidden 9th bolt it came right out. Hopefully this weekend the new motor will go in. Thanks for your help.

what have you done so far?
have you separated the engine and transmission?
what exactly are you trying to do?
