73 Firebird Formula power steering

Hi Everyone-

How do you diagnose power steering pump failure or box failure?

At low RPM it is difficult to steer. When under power and RPM's are up, steering is much easier.

Assuming the tires are at least 30 PSI cold and you have a full PS reservoir, a shop would install a pressure gauge on the pump to see if it is low.
