are camaro and firebird parts

interchangeable? I have a 1988 camaro and well i was just wondering if its possible to make it look like kitt from the knight rider, can i use firebird parts on it?
 
yes most of them they are made in the same factory same parts pontiac firebird and chevy camaro are pretty much the same car just different names and different body styles if they have the same engine and tranny it should be the same

NO.. the only parts that are interchangable are the doors and hatch body wise .. you could put the whole front clip on also but the body lines on the quarters are different and it would look Dumb..
the drivetrains ARE interchangable, engines, transmissions, rearends will swap from 82-92 with some work ..
and most interior panels are the same and seats will change over also ..
