cleaning old oil

My car has been in storage for a few years and I am now restoring old parts. what can I used to clean out all the old oil without damaging rings and lifters?

Oh, I forgot to say my pontiac is a 1966 Starchief Executive, original 421engine, 4barrel edelbrock carb. everything else is original.

the oil will be in the pan assuming you havent started it. I would use fresh oil/filter and change the oil and filter again after 500 to 1000 miles
