Does my Pontiac Vibe have a hidden electrical...

...short? I took it in because the radio display was partly out. Radio was then on order. A day later the entire instrument display would intermittently go on and off. Dealer couldn't replicate. Radio was replaced. So far everything is normal. Is this related somehow to the radio, and will come back as an expensive repair trying to find a short somewhere?

a lot of gm vehicles actually require the factory radio in order for other systems to work.in fact, whenever an aftermarket radio is installed in the newer gm vehicles, they use a harness extension to hide the factory radio in order to keep such gremlins from showing up.since you have a new radio, you should be ok.
