Door Jamb Switch 2004

Does anyone know where the door jamb switch is located on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am? The radio/clock stays on when the doors are opened. The dome light does not come on when the doors are open. I bought a new switch, but can't seem to find anything indicating where the switch is located.

you dont see the switch on the frame/fender area in front of the door?

No. That's where it's at on the backdoors, but not the front.

look at the dopr panel near where the latch mechanism is located, do you see a hard rubber piece? What does the switch that you bought look like, a picture or a link?

Yes, I see the hard rubber piece. Here is the switch that I bought:

The front switch it is my understanding is under that rubber piece, test the passenger side to see it that turns the interior light off when depressed.
