I'm working on my friends 2004 Grand Am. I have power to the dash like normal but when I turn the key.........nothing. I can jump the started and she turns over fine but wont start. Got fuel pressure. Any ideas???
On my sons 2001 it was like the #1 big fuse in the engine compartment. It would turn over and not start. Wipers and turn signals wouldnt work either. Like I said it was a blown fuse 30 amp I think. Good luck it can be frustrating!
3.4 v6. Is there a way to test the starter switch? went to the dealer and he mentioned a yellow wire but this one doesn't have a yellow wire. Power to the ignition switch but no power to the starter wire.
have you determined if the coil packs are putting out a spark? have you done an actual fuel pressure test? have you tried starter fluid, if it starts for a few seconds you have a fuel issue. This link covers a no-start condition on that engine
