On cold starts my Grand Prix usually starts up then dies right away if I don't give it a little gas. On the second try it usually starts fine. It's minor but is there s something I can do to fix this ? It must be a common in grand Prixs bc i had a 04 that had the same problem. I think I was told a way to fix it but I can't remember. Any help is appreciated.

You mention the year of your old car but dont mention the year of the current car?
Are you keeping up with maintenance based on whatever mileage is on the car, plugs, filters, etc.?
Do you have a check engine light on?
Does the engine run when fully warmed up within the normal temperature range?
