Spend tons of money for no purpose! You would at the very least have to change the following.
Red painted brake calipers.
Sport tuned suspension.
Heads-up display (also in GT2 model).
StabiliTrak dynamic control system.
3.29 axle ratio.
Performance tires and Magnasteer II.
10-spoke light weight wheel.
I've been told the 05 gtp standard, came with tap shifters just like the 04 comp g. So my next question is why can't I take the ecm Pcm and transmission out of a 2005standard gtp and put them in my 2004 gtp comp g? Which will allow me to keep the shifters but also rid myself of 3:29 transmission. Does that sound correct?
Couldn't tell from your post that you were asking about a transmission. The part numbers for 2004 and 2005 transmissions are not the same. So mixing a 2004 engine with a 2005 transmission and then adding a PCM from 2005, there is no way of knowing whether that combination will be problem free.
