New battery car won’t start or make any noise

I have a 2006 Grand Prix and I tried to start car with a brand new battery and the car make no sound at all. Lights radio power windows all work but it doesn’t make a single noise when u try to crank. I tried to jump it no noise. Now yesterday before I brought the new battery it would make like a long click sound but never crank up . What could this be please any advice would help

have you tested the new battery's voltage?
can you test the voltage at the starter solenoid when you try to start it?

that should be enough to start but you need to see what the reading is at the starter solenoid. You could have a bad ignition switch, starter relay, fusible link, bad connection at the battery, the starter or the ground.
