Power steering pump is howling but fluid level is ok. There seems to be a lot of air in the fluid and the engine appears to have been sprayed by a pressurized oil of the same color but I can't see where it's coming from. At the same time as it started making noise, the battery light came on. Voltage test shows my alternator may be bad. The power steering has me confused though. Any ideas would be appreciated

Clean everything off and look for the source of the leak. Transmission fluid would be same color if automatic.
