I? came across one other problem I didn't bring up in my last post. My tranny has been giving me problems going into reverse. It seems to drive and shift fine but when I shift into reverse it won't engage. When I shift it I feel a small click like its trying to shift but it has no drive so idk if I have a line pressure issue or what. The car only has 130,000 original miles and was never beat on and well maintained and I find it hard to believe that the "asphalt shredding" 301 managed to damage the internals. Anybody run into this sorta problem? Id rather avoid paying for a tranny rebuild so hopefully u guys can help.

No I haven't done that and I was gonna do it this weekend but I have a hurricane bearing down on me so I don't think its getting done. But the guy who had it is a family friend who runs a garage and is a stickler about changing stuff like that, besides the fluid looks brand new and he said it worked great when he parked it so maybe a seal or something dry rotted from sitting?
