No you cannt.
You posted this same question a week ago and never responded to what others asked you. What is the total timing, using a dial back timing light, and at what RPM do you get total timing?
You also cannt run a double pumper Holley on a car with 2.73 rear end gears and a stock automatic.
total timing is 30, and when I built the car I probably hurt it more with the exaust, with what I was told about engine I put hooker competition headers with 1 3/4" primaries and 3" exaust
Can you try setting total timing to 36 degrees? What compression ratio does this engine have? What camshaft is in the engine? What intake manifold? Have you considered changing the rear gears to something in the mid 3's, 3:55, etc.?
I completely restored the car with intentions of only taking to car shows, so the gears were fine for what I intended, the car doesn't rev very fast at all even when in park, slow to rev up
Increase the total timing to 36 degrees. Did the engine come with the distributor you are using? With the engine off have someone hold the gas pedal to the floor and check the carburetor to make sure the cable is fulling opening both primary and secondary.
I changed the distributor, it was a new pro comp, electronic, the cable is opening the carb all the way. I took the distributor apart yesterday thinking it could be the culprit
