trunk drama

I have a 2000 pontiac firebird and i put a custom bass speaker box in the trunk and I dont have the key for the trunk and the elctronic switch isnt working because the box is about a half an inch to big. I was wondering if anyone had any troubleshooting ideas on how to pop the trunk is the away to get in it.

Try pushing down on the lid when you push the switch?

have a buddy sit on the trunk while you hit the button. or put a stick of dynamite in it...

i have tried getting a friend to sit on the trunk and believe it or not the dynamite idea failed to

how about going to a dealer with the cars paperwork and having a new key cut?
