I just bought a 2008 G8 GT and I was wondering if I can run mid-grade or even 87 octane in it? I realize that running the lower octane fuel means less HP. Thanks for any answers!
This is my first post on the site!
According to your owner's manual the car will run on 87 octane but the knock sensor will reduce timing to prevent any engine knock. In everyday driving you will not notice any difference For maximum power you can run 91/93 octane.
