Hello. New to Firebirds, I am a Chvey guy. That stated, I found a 44,000 original mile 69 Firebird Convertible. Totally untouched. Was wondering what you folks more familiar than I would estimate the value at. Thanks And I look forward to your comments and being a part of this site.. Dan

check prices at www.nada,com and www.collectorcarmarket.com

the outside and interior look great, the engine not so great. Try to find out if it was in a front end accident, I believe there is something missing covering the space between the radiator and the front bumper assembly.

The car looks very good to be unrestored. I also

have a 1969 Firebird convertible and your front end is correct from the factory. Most people consider the 1969 just another 1st generation Firebird, however, the body panels are slightly different which makes it a more rare car. There were 11,649 Firebird convertibles built in 1969. The most rare is the 1969 Trans Am convertible, of which only (8) were built.
The value of your car is going to determined by regional location, the cars history and documentation, market trends, and the potential buyers willingness to shell out the cash. If your car has not been PHS documented, I would recommend doing it. They will send a lot of information that may answer more questions regarding your car. Hope this helped.
Here are a couple pictures of my 1969 Firebird. I will be working on it today to get it ready for a local car show.

Thanks for the link. Apparently, I am also

missing that same panel. Time to get on the phone. Thanks again.

UPDATE: I have talked with a couple of people

regarding the radiator filler panel mentioned in the above posts. According the Tech Specialist at Performance Years, not all 1969 Firebirds had that panel installed. Specifically, if the car was an AC delete car it may not have had the panel from the factory. The panels main purpose was to help the car run cooler when the AC was on in the summer. Has anyone else heard this? Thanks.

This is how www.amesperf.com lists them

Note: These panels were originally used on Firebirds with
400 engines or factory AC for improved engine cooling.

This is how www.performanceyears.com lists them

CORRECT METAL AC & RA/HO 400

www.yearone.com says the same A/C or 400 engine.

I believe you are trying to clone a Trans Am so technically you would have them plus the engine should run cooler in hot weather.

Thanks for the clarification. My car still has the original

350 in it, but this should help with the TA look as well as cooling performance. Time to order one so I can add to the TA originality (look) and add more receipts to my ever expanding collection. Thanks again for the information.
