Ever since I launched a massive project to restore my wife's 1991 Pontiac Sunbird convertible I have imposed on the good men of this forum
to provide advice. The car has come a very long way n its transformation and now I am doing the "fun stuff" with the heavy-labor parts behind me. The plastic
rear window of her Sunbird was horrible; scratched and nearly opaque. To add insult to injury, even with copious amounts of masking I did when painting, I still
somehow got overspray of the paint and clearcoat under the Kraft paper and onto the window. Off to the Internet I went and read through
many forum postings from guys with their recommendations. Most bewildering were the useless Youtube videos from guys who have no
business getting in front of a camera (Did they think about what they were going to say before they started recording their video?)
After creating my list of what to consider I counted up which product got the most positive comments and it was Novus. So I bought
the 3 bottles (Novus #1, Novus #2 and Novus #3) for $24.00 and prepared to be disappointed because the hype and reviews I see
on the Internet often have not been my experiences. Today I followed the instructions on the bottles, starting with #2, then #3 and finishing
#1 and WOW! I can't believe what a great job it did. Her window now looks like it's glass. I did the process on the outside as well as on
the inside of the window and it is beautiful. I don't know what's in that stuff but it works superbly. I wish I had taken a BEFORE and AFTER photo
because the difference was dramatic. So take it for what it's worth...this is just my $.01- worth (I can't offer this as my $.02 worth because this restoration has really plundered my cash
and a copper Abe Lincoln is now about all I have left.

Thanks for the post

You're most welcome, melsg5. I wish I had a good "before" shot of the rear window but I don't so I tried to grab the best image I could from
those that I had although it really doesn't show the window as badly as it was. Here's the "before" and "after" shots...20250603a.webp

It look's great, I am glad my Solstice has a glass back window! Thanks for posting it!

Glad you had good luck with that "miracle" vinyl window restore product. I would have been very skeptical. But I am shy about ragtop/convertible cars, with their ugly noisy smoky exhaust fumes kick back producing even dangerous tops, with usually short life spans, and expensive replacement. Had one, never again. No wonder they have almost disappeared from the new car market.
