Hello all,
I'm in the UK, I have a 1997 Firebird Base Coupe (3800 Series II and T5WC trans).
I'm looking to potentially replace the two-piece steel driveshaft on my V6 bird with an aluminum one, which I understand is a fairly common swap.. Naturally the shipping cost would likely be crippling, but I'm becoming conscious of that carrier bearing going out on the car: I've heard I can just slap an ally shaft on there and all will be well?
As for sourcing one, can anyone point me in the general direction of a reseller or perhaps a franchised scrapper/dismantler that would be able to ship one to the UK? Are they easy to obtain these days?
Any help you can provide would be wonderful!
