Theft system bypass 2008 grand prix

Hey guys just got this 2008 grand prix from my dad that has a "starting disabled due to theft system" light on the dash.
I tried the key relearn process with 2 different keys and installed new battery on the car and it still is a no crank no start.
The light is still on. How can I diagnose to see if the passlock is bad or if its the BCM and can I install a resistor wire to bypass it? It's the PK3 key

I assume the relearn you attempted is the 10 minute procedure repeated three times?
You can try installing a new cylinder with a new key.
Beyond that you need a professional scan tool.

Correct I tried it 3 times. Ordered a new passlock gonna try that next if all else fails I'll go to bcm next
