1998 pontiac firebird

I have a 1998 Pontiac firebird 3.8 v6, 90xxx miles. I'm thinking of swapping the 3.8 with a v8, preferably a 350. Is that a good choice? And also I am in need of a 350 engine, a ram air hood and new hatch. If anyone has one or knows where I can get any of said things at an affordable price...
