camshaft sensor

I am told that both my Crankshaft and Camshaft sensors are bad and need to be replaced. Is this possible? Vehicle works fine. I guess I need to buy a code reader, California doesn't allow AutoZone to give a hand with code reading. If this is possible, could someone give some advice on the R & R...
