mass air flow sensor

I have a detail in a 2005 pontiac grand prix with the gm 3800 series III. I discovered that the MAF sensor connector is broken, and when I turned on the car it turned on but indicated: "reduced engine power", I turned off the engine and when I turned it on again it marked "reduced engine power"...
