temperature

Can any of you comment on this..I have the following lights lit..TRAC OFF, ABS, SERVICE engine, check engine and MOST recently a TEMPERATURE light., the IRONIC thing regarding THAT light is my engine does not run hot so THAT light is a mystery...At times it goes off a bit. Being a NON mechanic...

I have a 71 Lemans which yesterday refused to start. Battery is fine but every time I try to start her up the TEMP light comes on. If I had been driving her around it would make sense to me that it would come on if she was in danger of overheating but it's 40deg outside and she's standing still...
