I was turning a corner when I stepped on the gas and my hand hit the shifter to neutral, the engine rev was so high I thought it blew but I let calm down for a second until the RPMs went down. I out the car back in drive and went a little ways down the road when the engine stalls. I try to restart and it sputters. I had to deive it another 2 miles back to my house. The only way it stayed on was when I had to keep my foot on the gas the entire was back, even when I stopped to keep the engine going. Thats what happened. People told me it was the timing chain.

well the timing chain didnt break otherwise the engine wouldnt be running at all. Recommend a compression test to start with to see if you bent any valves.

do a compression test

You remove all the spark plugs, attach the gauge to one cylinder at a time, crank the engine and write down the reading. All readings should be within 10% of the highest number.

Probably meant 3.4 since V6 was stated after
