Hello,
I have an 01 Sunfire and the other day I went to go put the driver's side window up, but it will not go up at all. There is no sound of the motor trying to raise it, it is completely silent. However, it goes down without problem.
I believe it's possibly the motor because the window has been sluggish when going up and down the last few months.
I have a few questions relating to this issue:
1) Is there any way in the mean time to be able to manually raise the window and lock it in place by hand? Such as if I take the door panel off, is there anything I can do to raise it without having the motor working?
2) What troubleshooting methods should I do to determine the issue?
3) If it is the motor that needs to be replaced, what is the best course of action to do this?
Thank you for any information.
