'02 grand am gt dome light stay's on

I just purchased a '02 gt for my daughter, i noticed that the wires that plug into the back of the rear view mirror were unplugged, i plugged it in along with turning the dome light switch over to the "door" setting, now the all the lights stay on......i've also noticed that the horn doesn't honk when i hit the lock button on the key fob. If i'm setting in the car and lock the doors from the fob, i can hear cracking thru the speakers, odd! I have a '99 gt, and never had this issue! Any ideas? Thanks.

For the lights staying on check for a bad door switch.
Do you have only one key fob, it could be a bad button on the fob.

Dome lights!

I found the problem, it was the driver side door lock actuator, it was bad, it was showing that the door was still in the open position!
