02 grand am

I have an 02 grand am... V6 E 3.4L SFI...My belt broke today...Need to get the timing right...How do you tell where the timing should be...Does it have a mark on the polley???Not much of a gear head...Thanks for anyhelp...

Belt broke? Do you mean your timing chain broke and the engine just spins over but won't fire?

The drive belt for accessories, alternator, a/c, etc has nothing to do with timing marks. Just install the new belt if you can.

Ok if you will look right above the water pump should be a belt routing diagram stickered on a black plastic piece . Also be sure to check all pullys , belt tenshioner , ect . something could have caused your belt to fail or here ya go !
