'03 Sunfire - Aftermarket Stereo

So, I'm having a problem with the aftermarket stereo I'm trying to install. I got all the wires spliced together and it all seemed good but the first thing that happened when it got power, the stereo would come on for about 5 seconds then shut off. Also, not getting any power from the red ACC wire - which I know the Sunfire doesn't have but is there any way to get it working? Do I need a special harness or connect it to a different wire?

Here is a link for the wiring...hope it helps. You need to run a wire from the fuse box for the switched 12v.
