I have an '04 Grand Am. Not sure if it's an LE or SE. definitely not a GT. 3.4 Liter engine. I was told by a mechanic that my cruise control doesn't work because my anti-lock control unit is not communicating. Here's where my problem really starts. I cannot find an anti-lock control unit on this car to save my life!
I've read every post on this I can find across the net. It's not on the firewall, fender wall, behind the washer fluid tank behind the splash shield in the driver's side front fender. I traced the lines from the master cylinder to a splitter box under the battery tray and from there out to the wheels. The front wheels have a place for speed control sensors but there are only plugs in them. No wires.
Did this mechanic lie to me or does my car actually have anti-lock brakes?
Thanks for reading,
Ed
