05 montana shifter issues

Hi everyone
New to the forum having a issue with the shifter its a intermittent problem sometimes I have trouble getting it to come out of park other times it seams to be ok. Is there any adjustment to the linkage or is this electronic?

have someone check your brake lights when you have this issue, if they dont come on you have a problem with the brake pedal switch.
