Hey Guys!

I have an 05 montana sv6, and I had some issues recently... The car itself wasn't driven for about 3 days and today the battery was low as the car was ticking or trying to turn over but no luck. So we decided to take the vehicle out and give it a jump start, oddly the car wont start at all now, no noise what so ever. All lights come on, car chimes when in the on position. However it wont start or turn over, the gear shifter light wont light up anymore as well... so no indication of what gear I'm in. Battery terminals are clean, everything else works like a charm... Any idea of where I should start looking into? My brother may have tried to start the car with the battery low a few times. Appreciate any help!

Definitely sounds weird , u sure the jumpers were hooked up correctly and not reversed ? Very strange that u would get no lights on at all. Loose connection? Even with a dead battery usually the warning lights light up? Better start checking some fuses then or perhaps the ignition switch.

Yup Jumpers were on correctly, triple checked all battery connections, as for the lights same thing occurs all lights come on as usual however the gear shifter light indicating which gear its in does not. Would starting the car without the right amount of voltage cause the starter or anything to seize causing this to occur. Let me know what you think!

Just so I understand , u have crank but no start? Plus the gear indicator light not lit? If so try starting in neutral .

Nope. No crank, no start, tried starting in neutral yet there was no luck.

well in this case i would look toward the starter , if you have a volt meter you should see 12 volts at the starter when turning the key and that would prove a bad starter, but need 2 people or a set of alligator clips on the solenoid/starter while you try to crank it.

Sorry for the Late response guys, barely have time now a days. So i did the test you all suggested, voltage is coming to the starter. But at that point I also realized the Battery was low, So I connected the jumper cables and tried the test with the jumper cables connected. Is it possible that the whole problem is the battery, by the way I also hear a clicking noise coming from the under hood fuse box. I managed to Narrow it down to the RUN Relay, could this mean anything? Thanks in advance

what is the voltage reading? anything less than 12.75 with the engine off is low and could be the battery or the charging circuit.

Very late reply here guys, but its been very busy. However, battery was dead so i put in a new one, there is voltage to the starter, However my mechanic said it could be "Main Fuse" which could be blown, could there be a fuse between the battery and other component? Thanks in advance

What is the vehicle doing now with the new battery? You have voltage to the starter but is the starter turning the engine over?

Nope, engine wont turn over, just pure silence, except a click noise from the fuse box when i turn the key to the start position.

Did you see if the click noise is coming from a relay in the fuse box? If it is, see if there is another relay in the box with the same markings so you can temporarily switch them.
