I recently purchased my kid a 2005 Sunfire base. It has automatic, but manual windows and door locks. My kid just got his license but keeps locking his keys in the car. (Yeah I know, get a smarter kid....)
My question is I was searching the internet for aftermarket door locks and Slickcars.com states that I only need to buy this kit "Keyless Entry (Commando KE-40)" but that kit doesn't include any solenoids for actually operating the door locks.
Does anyone know if the 2005 base Sunfire already is set up for power door locks (has the solenoids installed already) but just doesn't come with a key fob when new if you didn't order them?
I am just looking to install operational door locks but don't want to waste the money on solenoids if I don't need them.
