I'm having some concerning issues with my '07 Torrent battery and alternator. We hope.
Yesterday, my daughter and I replaced our 7 yr battery and the alternator because it was not holding a charge. We let it rest overnight after driving for a little while to see how it would do. It was around 11.9 and 12.0 last night. I drove up to the bank, and did a few other things this morning and the charge was around 13.5.
Now my wife started the car and the charge was around 11.2 and 11.3.
There wasn't any driving between my drive and her starting the car. We thought the only issue was a wire that was around the battery (which we think was from the rental service who had the car long before us) but I had made sure that it wasn't going to be anywhere near the battery connections.
Is there some other issue that could be causing this problem? Like I said, this is a brand new battery and a new alternator and both showed no problems at our parts store.
