We just started to experience issues with the steering wheel mounted controls for the radio. I first noticed it the other day when I went to mute the radio and the button only decreased the volume as though I was pushing the down arrow and not the mute button. After pushing the different buttons a few times, the functions seemed to return to normal. Now my wife just texted me that volume down button is now INCREASING the volume, and the mute button changes the mode to XM radio, "and so on" (what that exactly means, I dont know... lol).

Anyone experience an issue like this? What was the fix? I was going to just pull the switch apart and clean the contacts and verify that everything looked correct in there, but read that I have to remove the airbag to properly remove the switches. If I am going that far, I would just replace the switches with new ones, but not fully convinced that it will fix the problem.

Thoughts?
