1947 pontiac woodie wagon

Does any know if the stripes on the front and rear fenders on the'47 woodie wagon were chrome or were they painted on. Or recommend a site where I can do better research.
 
1947 Pontiac woodie fender stripes

The fender stripes on my ''''47 woodie are painted on. I think the '46 cars did use chrome. I can send photos of the original paint if you'd like
 
Thanks for response. I have an old original B/W photo showing what appeared to be paint. My woodie has painted stripes but I wanted to be sure. I had one source tell me Pontiac made a "deluxe" model in '47 that had chrome stripes.
