Hello brand new member, I have a 1957 star chief I need some help understanding how the heater control valve works, most control valves that I have seen use a cable to open and close a hot water valve from the engine, this one does not. Any help with me much appreciated. Thank you, Jeff.

Have no idea what a 1957 heater valve would look like. It either has a cable or a vacuum connection or electric.
