I am looking for a disc brake conversion kit. Seems the 1963 is not as easy to find. I also want to replace the control arm bushings and have not found a kit for those either. Any body know where I can find these kits? One more, do I need to pull the windshield to get the chrome moldings off from the side and the top of the windshield

Thank you,
Michael

www.amesperf.com lists in their full size catalog a disc brake spindle kit PR207C for $499.00
These kits allow you to use existing drum brake spindles and convert
to front disc brakes. In addition to these kits you will need to supply
a proportioning valve, master cylinder, booster and hard lines.
PR207C through PR207E kits will not work with 14” wheels.
Add $20.00 oversize fee to standard shipping for spindle kits.

I also see control arm bushings upper PS178 and NAPA has iistings for the lower.

Typically you dont need to remove a windshield to take off the moldings but you may want to check with a local body shop that is familiar with older cars. If you have trouble finding one check with local car clubs.

Thank you, for the quick response and the information.
I don't know why, but NAPA doesn't usually come to mind. But they will now.
DO you know is any newer model disc brake cars that the spindle and brakes would bolt on to the 1963 Catalina?
Also what about rear disc brakes.

Thank you,
Michael
