1963 Catalina vert heater core replacing

Does anyone have any experience with a heater core replacement repair? It looks like I would have to access this through the engine bay and then remove the passenger fender...Does this sound like the right way to do it?

I am new to the forums so thank you so much in advance for your help.

You are going to have problem finding people with experience workings on cars of that vintage. The best investment you can make if you intend to keep the car is buy a CD copy of the factory Chasis Service manual from a site such as www.amesperf.com.
On some models everything can be done from under the dash or at worst the inner fender panel is removed.
