1965 Lemans tail panel molding

I am looking for tail panel molding for my 65 Lemans. I have seen some on ebay but they are listed as Tempest tail panel molding. Will this fit or is it actually different from the Lemans?

Have you tried frankspontiacparts.com?
Do the ebay listings have pictures?
Are you concerned with them being visually correct or just whether they fit?

They ebay has pics and it looks like the right one,, but not being sure that it is since it just says Tempest dont want to buy it and find out it does not.
I want it to match in all aspects.


I have been to frankspontiacparts.com and they have the same tail panel listed but once again it says for Tempest and they have 2 other pics that are labeled for GTO/Lemans. I am not sure if they mean that's the car they pulled that part from or it is unique to that car type. Looking at the pics I don't see any difference but it's hard to tell since the pics are so small and are of the front only. If I had just seen this site I would have believed that they were different but at The Parts Place they sell this.

I have sent them an Email to frankspontiacparts about this question but was hoping to get a quicker answer on this question here.

If you Google "1965 tempest" and "1965 lemans", look at the images of the rear it's the same trim panel with the word PONTIAC

Just found out the difference between the 2 panels. Looks like the Tempest panel has 10 ribs/lines on the panel were as the Lemans/GTO only has 6 ribs/lines.
