1966 catalina front speaker r&r

taken everthing loose that I can see and the speaker wont come loose

assuming you are dealing with a common 6x9 speaker, can you see the 4 mounting holes and are there any studs coming through the holes that still have a nut on them? Nothing else should be holding the speaker.

Just doing my 65.....cannot get to front two nuts from below....after taking out radio and plastic duct....had to remove dash pad and take speaker bracket off first from up top (3 1/4 inch screws) then remove speaker from bracket....mine is 4 x 10.

I got it loose, it was just stuck there from old age! smacked it with a hammer and screw driver and it fell off
