1968 Firebird convertible hydrolic cylinder

Does anybody know how to get the hydrolic cylinder out? There is a metal plate in front of it. I took the bolts out but the metal plate wont budge so I cant get to it.

Convertible Top Cylinder Removal

How do you remove the top cylinders? Can the third hidden bolt on the back of the cylinder be removed without removing the entire top mechanism bracke...
